Make your own Christmas Bonbons

From the BBC News

From my kitchen.....

Inside is a joke, a little native Australian animal and a tiny packet of sunflower seeds. On the packet of seeds I stuck a label I printed saying.... Here are some seeds collected by me from my garden last autumn. Please go outside and sow one now. Then come back and visit me often and watch it grow. Tomorrow morning I will pick some flowers and put one with each bonbon, instead of a paper hat.

Joyeux Noel.

Just this morning I was thinking about making my own bon bons for next year (and was even thinking of putting seeds in them!). Yours look beautiful! Do they go 'BANG'? I think that's an important feature of bon bons (at least where my little nephews are concerned). Can you buy the 'BANG-ers' to put in them? :-)

Yes, Eve, you can buy the bangers which are called snaps, evidently. I did not have any so we took it in turns to pull them while everyone else went "clap". It was hilarious and much more fun than the snaps!

Ha ha. That's a good idea. You've definitely inspired me to make my own bon bons next year.

I love your blog by the way.
