Once upon a time there was a huge flax outside the window. | Then it was cut down .....
| And the cows came and began to eat it .... so it was moooved ! |
Once upon a time the broad beans sagged from the heavy frost. | But the coral lettuce stayed bright and cheerful.... | ...and so did the mizuna. |
All the Adelaide people thought the kale had aphids ...... | But when the sun shone, all the aphids melted away! | In the glass house, though, the fennel twirled and danced. |

Love the twirling fennel and the melting aphids, great to see your garden Kate.
Oh, it looks cold, but the fennel twirls are lovely! We always find that red=leaved lettuces withstand cold better than green - there's a good variety here called Rouge de Montpellier which we pick all through winter. Enjoy your happy garden!
I knew you'd understand about the aphids, Maggie!I couldn't be bothered explaining it to the rest of the world. :)
I love all the pictures, especially the one with the dew drops!
Great photos Kate!
The glass house must be a great addition to your garden!
I hope your new gardening group is going well, we have been a little less motivated due to the cold weather here in S.A.
Keep warm,
Glenys
