Whoever said.....

....the food garden is not beautiful?

A new flush of strawberries
Perfect tomato weather now
Huge balls of leek flowers
Red Russian Kale makes me smile

Life is good in the food garden, and oh so pretty.

Oh this post warms my heart. I hardly grew anything last year as I was planning to move home. Moved now from Scotland to Wales and have a larger growing space, can't wait to start growing with a vengenace again - just look at those tomatoes- Have really missed the taste of homegrown!

Lovely, especially the chive flowers. Thanks for your comment on my Cardiff food - and your question about endive. We grew them once and they do need to be earthed up - covered completely - all winter. Our neighbour kept his in a bucket of sand. If you don't cover them they stay dark green, so I'm afraid that's what you have to do! the Belgian endive seeds are probably the right ones for it - good luck!
