Cygnet Garden Larder
Bec has given us a jewel of a place to shop for fruit, veg, cheeses, kitchen tools etc. Now, in little old Cygnet, I can get organic bananas, bags of organic oranges and my favourite French cheeses including St. Agur and Roquefort!! I have so much food in my garden I don't need to buy much, but she has everything from local potatoes and onions, to mainland capsicums and tomatoes.
She stocks as much local and Tasmanian produce as she can source and sells her home grown seedlings plus a range of locally made, organic fertilisers.
.... all packed into the smallest shop in Cygnet!
Cygnet Market
Who would think that such a small place (around 1,000 people) could have such a fabulous market!!
- Food - Organic, local veg. and fruit (Alex, Lenny, others), amazing wood oven breads (Cam), Swiss style goats cheeses (Tongola), Dover bay mussels (Warwick and Irene), lemon tarts and other really good treats (a new bloke), organic beef pies (Gerard and Deb), 2 barristers (Ed + Cam's girlfriend), the best pork pies (Ed again!), excellent scones etc (Jeanette) and of course The Garden Shed and Pantry's organic wholefoods and ingredients + garden tools, seeds, spices, Turkish spice grinders etc etc etc
