I keep them in old lolly tins which seal well, and once I got all the packets out there was quite an assortment of seeds in the bottom. Pellets are a complete food whereas grain isn't a complete food. That is regardless of whether your birds have pasture access or not because unless you have had your because your pasture may be deficient of certain mineral such as copper or selenium of a few other things. Pellets are no greater a curse to the climate than the grains which you are already feeding your birds. Your bread is always so good! I have yet to try the sprouted grain method but I know I will soon.<br />I was talking to my local Swedish pharmacist last week and asking how he was going with his plans for sourdough and discovered he wasn't but was buying fresh yeast from the Aqua Grill in Franklin! What memories that evoked, my mother's block of fresh yeast for her bread baking and the smell.<br />I don't know if it can be bought anywhere else in the valley and of course I forget to call in when I pass.<br />We recently were lent a recipe book hand-written by the original baker here and it contains a recipe to make yeast but I don't think I'll bother....<br />I love how more and more people are appreciating the taste and benefits of sourdough!
